SAP Announces Acquisition of Leading Talent Acquisition Platform SmartRecruiters for Enhanced HR Solutions

In a strategic move to augment its human resource offerings, SAP has announced an agreement for the acquisition of recruiting software company SmartRecruiters. This acquisition aims to leverage SmartRecruiters’ robust, intuitive interfaces and seamless workflows, which will complement SAP’s current suite of HR tools.

In a statement issued by Muhammad Alam, Executive Board Member responsible for Product and Engineering at SAP, the acquisition is expected to enable customers to manage the entire candidate lifecycle – from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and beyond – within a unified system, thereby enhancing the experience for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates alike.

The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. The transaction is anticipated to be finalized in the fourth quarter of this year.

It should be noted that SmartRecruiters’ most recent round of funding was a Series E investment of $110 million in 2021, which valued the company at $1.5 billion.
