Teen Software Engineer Edward ‘Big Balls’ Coristine Assaulted in D.C. Carjacking Attempt by Minors

Two minors have been charged with carjacking following an alleged incident in Washington’s Logan Circle where they reportedly attempted to steal a vehicle from Edward Coristine, a renowned software engineer and former Neuralink intern who previously served in the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
As per reports based on local authorities, the event occurred around 3 a.m. on Sunday. At the time, Coristine was with his girlfriend. A group of approximately ten teenagers approached their vehicle and made comments about taking it, prompting Coristine to push his girlfriend into the car for safety reasons before confronting the group. The altercation ensued, with the group physically attacking Coristine until police arrived at the scene.
On Tuesday, Elon Musk took to his social media platform to commend Coristine’s bravery. Meanwhile, President Trump shared a graphic image of Coristine following the assault on Truth Social, using the incident as an opportunity to advocate for the prosecution of minors as young as 14 as adults.
Since leaving DOGE in June, Coristine has returned to federal service at the Social Security Administration to assist in enhancing the agency’s website, according to a spokesman’s recent statement to WIRED.
