Introducing PixelSnap: Google’s Magnetic Accessory Solution Compatible with New Pixel 10 Series Devices

Tech giant Google unveils PixelSnap – its take on magnetic connectivity for a new line of devices, dubbed the Pixel 10 series. This innovation, reminiscent of Apple’s MagSafe technology launched with the iPhone 12 in 2020, enables compatibility with various magnetic accessories such as wireless chargers, stands, grips, and more.
The announcement marks Google’s entry into the market for magnetic accessories, offering a range of PixelSnap-compatible products including cases and accessories. A noteworthy accessory is the Ring Stand, which adheres to the device much like a puck, with the option to pull the ring for stand functionality.
All devices within the Pixel 10 series boast compatibility with the Qi2 wireless standard, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL supporting 25W wireless charging and the other models, including the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Fold, featuring 15W wireless charging capability.
Google is set to release a PixelSnap charger along with an optional stand, allowing users to choose between charging their device flat or keeping it upright for simultaneous use or displaying home control widgets.
Prices for the PixelSnap cases start at $49.99, while the Ring Stand is priced at $29.99, and the charger retails for $39.99. For those seeking a charging stand, it’ll cost $69.99.
Google confirmed that the Pixel 10 series phones are compatible with a variety of accessories including car mounts, chargers, and products from Made for Google partners, as well as certain MagSafe accessories.
