Spotify Expands DJ Potential with Direct Integration into Rekordbox, Serato, and djay Software

Spotify has unveiled direct integration with popular desktop DJ software including rekordbox, Serato, and djay. This development enables users to access their entire library and playlists within these programs, streamlining the process of creating sets and blending tracks.

In a company blog post, Spotify explained that Premium users can now mix songs from their extensive music catalog using supported DJ software. This feature allows for curating unique sets by building momentum or creating mood shifts between tracks. All that’s required is logging in to access the entire Spotify library, including personal playlists and editorial selections.

The integration will be exclusive to Premium users and available across 51 global markets. It follows shortly after Spotify introduced the capability for Premium users to seamlessly mix track-to-track transitions within their own playlists.

This latest feature is part of a growing list of updates for the streaming service. Spotify has recently introduced lossless music streaming, enabled free users to select and play songs, added new ‘smart filters’, in-app messaging, among other enhancements.
