Revolutionary Advancement: Google Search Now Makes Calls to Businesses – Automated Calling Feature Unveiled

Google’s search engine is now capable of placing calls to local businesses to ascertain pricing and availability information, thereby eliminating the need for users to make these calls directly. This feature, initially introduced as Duplex for Google Assistant in 2018, has been integrated into Google Search as a button called “Have AI check pricing.”
Upon querying for a specific business service in your vicinity, this button will enable Google’s AI to call multiple local businesses, compare results, and provide a comprehensive list detailing pricing and availability. This feature is particularly useful for services such as pet grooming and dry cleaning, enabling consumers to save time and energy while potentially creating new opportunities for businesses to easily book customers.
The rollout of this capability is commencing for all Search users in the United States, with expanded limits for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. However, it is important to note that businesses may find this technology somewhat intrusive, especially if they are consistently bombarded with calls from Google’s AI. Google has addressed this concern by creating a support page detailing how businesses can opt out of receiving these calls by managing their Google Business page settings.
The support page also states that during these automated calls, businesses can express their desire to be removed from the list by stating phrases such as “Please remove my business from your list.” In addition, Google’s AI will avoid calling businesses during late night and early morning hours for improved user experience. All automated calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes.
It is worth noting that this feature is currently unavailable in five U.S. states: Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, and Nebraska.
