Xero Partners with OpenAI to Transform Just Ask Xero into Proactive AI Accounting Platform

In a strategic partnership with OpenAI, cloud-based accounting software provider Xero based in New Zealand is enhancing its AI assistant, Just Ask Xero (JAX). The collaboration aims to metamorphose JAX from a basic chatbot into an autonomous AI platform.

Autonomous systems, unlike traditional AI tools in finance that primarily answer queries or offer insights, are capable of performing tasks such as payroll processing and bank statement reconciliation without the need for continuous human oversight.

This evolution of Xero’s platform marks a significant step towards the future of small business accounting, according to Diya Jolly, Chief Product and Technology officer at Xero.
